Sarah Raffuse

Sarah likes to teach the Crazy Shortcut Quilt class and she can do it in several ways. If there is time, she can drag it out over 3 weeks, with a class a week (lots of time for quilters to do their 'homework' quilting). Or she can race through it in 2 days. It helps a lot if the 2 days are separated by a day but it's not necessary if you have a group of quilters who don't believe in sleep. It really is possible to make a 9 square quilt (48" x 48") in 6-12 hours.

Crazy Shortcut Quilt Stitches

This is a 2 day crazy quilt as you go workshop, and whenever possible Sarah and Marguerita will teach it together, with Sarah leading the class and Marguerita giving one-on-one assistance as needed. 2 day Workshop (6+ hours per day) is $400 ($200 per day) in the state of Alaska and includes both teachers (if available) and $600 for out of state (for 2 days with 2 teachers). Does not include travel expenses, room and board which are also required.

Participation is limited by space available - each student needs room for a sewing machine, cutting area and pressing area, 20 students max. Book is required for class and will be available for purchase.

Crazy Shortcut Quilt Class - Crazy Quilt As You Go!

In this class you will be making a "crazy" quilt with fat quarters instead of scraps and best of all you will be using the decorative stitches on your sewing machine to do all of the quilting, in small and easily manageable quilt-as-you-go sections. This class is for anyone from beginner to expert - but watch out because we change a few of the "traditional" quilt making rules, making this a fast project that gives you a finished quilt in hours!
